I've enjoyed working out for years. Recently, my girlfriend has started joining me, deciding to begin her own fitness journey. The first time we were getting ready to hit the gym, she asked me a question that caught me a little off guard: What should I wear? I've never really had to think about that, I just grab an old pair of shorts, a ratty t-shirt, and my sneakers, and I'm out the door. But that wasn't quite going to work for my lady. She likes to look and feel nice whenever she goes out, whether it's for a posh dinner, or a sweaty interval session around the track. We spent some time researching different companies, trying to find clothing that looked good, was well made, and functioned well while working out. We found great companies that cater to different types of athletes. Check out the retailers below for some great tips on where to find fitness apparel for women.

Alo Moves is pretty much the gold standard for all things yoga. They have amazing online resources for developing your practice, including many free videos on Youtube and an app with access to all of their classes and sessions. They also produce and sell some of the highest quality yoga apparel available for ladies today. Not only do their clothes look and feel great, but they also function well, moving and stretching with your body without wearing out and needing to be replaced.
Just because this Insta famous company has a name built from a silly gym saying, don't be fooled about their products. This company's focus is making sure that you look great and have the freedom to move in your weightlifting clothes, not only while in the gym pumping iron, but also when you leave to run errands or meet friends for a last-minute dinner date. They have options ranging from thin, warm weather shorts to heavy hoodies for lifting in the cold. Do You Even is your one-stop shop for year-round lifting gear.
Oiselle not only markets clothing for lady runners, but they are also proudly owned by women. Who better to curate a selection of apparel for women who want to racking up those miles? They have many options in bright, solid colors, but also seem to be big fans of unique floral prints and, my girlfriends personal favorite, utilizing their logo, a bird, to create patterns on shirts, shorts, and leggings. With so many different styles available, you're sure to find something comfy and eye-catching for your next big race!
Têra Kaia is a very specific company. They sell two products, which are basically the same bra in a low cut or high cut option. But don't let the limited selection bother you, there is a reason they only have the one model: It's the only one that you need. Seriously, this was probably the best investment that my girlfriend made for her workout wardrobe. This bra is her go-to for any type of exercise. Everything stays in place, whether running, flipping upside down into a yoga handstand, or doing bent-over barbell rows for reps. It's cool, comfortable, pool friendly, and supportive. What else can you ask for? Also, it's surprisingly affordable compared with other products in the same category.Ladies, don't let your lack of eye-catching clothing keep you from working on your summer body. Browse around the selections of the companies above, and you're sure to find some gear that will work for your look and your fit lifestyle!
